GREENHOUSE GARDENING TIPS FOR WINTER! Growing plants in the cold can be difficult even inside a heated greenhouse. Here are some tips to help you get started! However, this is a somewhat unreliable way to go about heating a greenhouse. Electric or oil heaters are also great options when gardening during winter. They are the most reliable way for your greenhouse to retain heat during all seasons. Although they are cheap, these can be expensive to run! The material your greenhouse is made of can also be important for retaining heat during winter. If you live in a very cold area, it may be worth the effort and money to build your greenhouse into the ground. Since most heat escape from the bottom of the greenhouse, you can just silicone the heck out of the cracks at the bottom. :)
