do jade plants grow slow when they are compacted together

Thank you for this! My jade plant has those spots and I have treated it with fungicide, insecticide, algacide, viricide, and vooodoo but could not get rid of them. Now I know why!
Also, what is the name of the second plant you picked up? I inherited one of those but I don't know what it's called! -
Could that be fluoride?
-
I couldn't find the answer to this anywhere! Thank you so much!
-
Thank you

How do you wipe off these dots without damaging the plant?
-
so grateful for this video, thank you. mine has it too and I was wondering if it was dying (I'm not the most green fingered of people lol) I'm about to repot it today as it has well and truly outgrown it's pot

Hi,
I had to listen many times at the 0:53 as it is the only place where you mention what it is. All I can understand is "spombinutiposys" or something like that. A search in google gives nothing as result with this term. Then I noticed that closed caption was available for your video. Well, I had a few laughs, you should watch it as well to read what you sound like. I can comprehend a little better than the closed captioning software but still, I would like to know what is the term for this condition (the white spots on jade plant leaves) Many thanks -
Hi Lynn, thanks so much for this video, I have bought a large crassula from a lovely lady on preloved and then started to find the little white dots on it. I'm new to succulents and I thought I was killing it! So glad it's not me for a change 😊. love your videos, thanks x

Brand new sub, your positivity is towering - thanks! I suspect the insides of our kettles look about same, you in chalky Ireland. Great for succulents/cactus - as we all see! - not so great when I need to irrigate my blueberries heavily maybe...

I have noticed a week ago that there are many white spots on the leaves of my jade plants. I am glad they are harmless. Thank you for the info!!!

When I saw the title I ran to my Jade plant and saw some dots, looked closely it was just dust so I gave it a shower, she look so happy now, she even thank me but for some reason she called me "Lyn" :))

I thought it was a fungal infection and I have been treating my plant with neem oil to get rid of it! So relieved it's normal! Thank you!

I learned something new. Never heard of this phenomenon even though I had the same spots on my Crassula years ago.
Question : do you use tap water ? The soil in the pot looks a bit greyish. Chalk deposit ? This could explain the abdundance of white spots when the plant extract minerals out of the soil and releases them through its leafs. I bet the spots are rich in Calcium.
Experiment ? Take 2 similars cuttings of Crassula and let them root. Place them on the same place or shelf. Then water one of them with tapwater and the second with rain water. Observe the spots after a few months. Post the conclusion on youtube... LOL -
