Thank you very much

Thank you. Can I Plant the seeds indoors at the beginning of Oklahoma winter? If I can when can I put them in the ground?
-
do you sell seeds?
-
Thanks for this one. Subbed. I see conflicting info on growing from seed. If you see this can you give your suggestion of lighting, water, shade while waiting for them to pop out of soil? As well strengthening the main trunk as it grows? Please and thank you. Blessings.

Great video.

After watching your video I decided to see if my old pine cone from my other house 16.5 years ago had any seeds. I got 17! I'll try to get back to you and tell you if they germinated or not, just for curiosity sake. :) thanks for the video.

Super cool video, thanks for the share. Just one question. You said you have to leave the cone in the sun to open when it's still closed/green, but what happens if you open the cone yourself and remove the seeds manually? Will the seeds still germinate after planting?

can you do an update video on these pines?

I Love Pine, have some seeds, Thx for tips :)

I'm from the Phoenix Arizona area, but own a few properties in Northern AZ, about 6,000 ft. I just got a pack of 100 pinyon pine seeds, and will be germinating them soon. I have grown them before, with success cutting a tiny piece off the tip, soaking in water overnight, then using potting soil with a heating pad. Thanks for the video!

Pine seeds are dormant like many others but they don't need scarification or cold stratification to germinate. Many pines, for instance, let loose their seeds after a fire. They germinate during the fall rainy season and have a headstart on other trees. Roast the cones for a few minutes, sprinkle the seeds into a sandy potting soil, water religiously and pines happen. A little shade and plenty of water the first year or two will keep them alive until their roots are long enough to maintain access to water.
