When, What & How To Fertilize Seedlings & Seeds - Tomatoes, Peppers, Cucumbers - Fish Fertilizer
Tips, Tricks
Fertilizing Seeds & Seedlings In this video I will show you when, what and how I fertilize (feed) my tomato seedlings, bell pepper seeds and seedlings, cucumber seedlings, and bean seedlings and seeds. 1. Fertilizing (feeding) seeds: I usually fertilize (feed) the seeds one time before they germinate with Liquid Organic Alaska Fish Fertilizer. Normally, with their first watering. I mix 1 tea spoon of Liquid Alaska Organic Fish Fertilizer in one gallon of water that i filled up the night before and bottom water them. I fill up the tray with about an inch of the mixture and let my cups with potted seeds sit in it for about 30 minutes or until the soil/seedling starting mix has absorbed enough water (when the top of the soil turns darker color). Then, I take the cups out, so the access water/fertilizer can drain out of them. I empty the tray and put my cups with potted seeds back in it. This applies for all seeds I have experiment with so far - tomatoes, bell peppers, cucumbers, jalapeno peppers, and beans. I have used Liquid Organic Alaska Fish Fertilizer before on seeds and had great success. 2. Fertilizing (feeding) seedlings: I usually start fertilizing my seedlings as soon as they germinate with Liquid Organic Alaska Fish Fertilizer. I mix 1 tea spoon of Liquid Alaska Organic Fish Fertilizer in one gallon of water that i filled up the night before and bottom water them. I fill up the tray with about an inch of the mixture and let my seedlings sit in it for about 30 minutes or until the soil/seedling starting mix has absorbed enough water (when the top of the soil turns darker color). Then, I take the seedlings out, so the access water/fertilizer can drain out of them. I empty the tray and put my seedlings back in it. I fertilize my seedlings with Liquid Alaska Organic Fish Fertilizer every 10 or 12 days and I had great success before. Please see the link to the video down below. In between, I will water them with my homemade banana water. I put the peel of one or two bananas in a pitcher of water and let it sit overnight before watering my seedlings. The potassium helps the development of healthy root system. I also fertilize my seedlings with Epsom salt solution every 15 days. I dissolve 1 tbsp of Epsom salt in one gallon of water and bottom water them. If you find this episode helpful, please click the LIKE button below the video; it would mean a lot to me. Hi I have recently found your channel. I live in Dubai and am just learning to grow edibles. I have a patio so everything is grown in containers. There is very little information available about growing in this part of the world so although Arizona doesn't get quite as hot as here (it's currently around the mid 40s celsius and 30 celsius at night) it is very useful for me to have your advice. I have subscribed to your channel and am sure I will flood you with questions soon!

Fish hydrolysate is the better fertilizer for seedlings. More phosphorus for the root growth.
