Watering, Fertilizing, Pruning - Container Jalapeno Peppers Update - Organic Gardening in Arizona In this video, I will show you how I water, prune, and fertilize my container jalapeno peppers. I am pruning my jalapeno pepper, because I want them to bush up and grow more jalapeno peppers. I count 6 leaves and clip the top of both jalapeno plants. With some luck, within a week, they should start growing side shoots. I will make another video as soon as the jalapeno pepper plants start growing new suckers. About a week after I transplanted my jalapeno pepper plants, I fertilized them with Liquid Organic Alaska Fish Fertilizer. I deluded 1 tbsp of fish fertilizer into 1 gallon of water and watered them. Today, about 2 weeks after I transplanted my jalapeno peppers, I fertilized them with Age Old Grow by Old Organics. I deluded 1 tbsp of fertilizer in 1 gallon of water and spry the bottom and the top of the leaves and the stem of my jalapeno plants. I watered the jalapeno pepper plants just with water as the soil was getting dry. Jalapeno peppers tend to get spicier if they don't get water on regular basis and I do not want them too spicy. I started these jalapeno peppers from seeds back in March and transplanted them into containers in April.
