My favorite part in the video is when Art said, "It's fun to be weird." I say weird people are more fun all the time! We are a bunch of weirdos here too, so you're in good company!

your kids are great helpers to you and your husband. the garden is gonna be amazing

When it comes to TP, I have started using family cloth for #1 only. It is just me and a teenage son right now. We buy Lustre (SavALot's version of Scott) and a 4 pack currently lasts us a month, but it may increase a little when school lets out for summer. Once in a great while I will buy paper plates but it would have to be a great sale. I do not buy paper towels at all, as we have a grocer bag full of cleaning rags. Have you read Jane Austen's Guide To Thrift (by Kathleen Anderson and Susan Jones)? I picked that up from the library today. Will make a good bedtime read for me, I am sure!

Curious.what would your state do if your kiddos do poorly on the test?We have no testing here in Texas.

Oh, I loved the dancing. Peter showing off for the camera was great! That book sounds fascinating too. It is something I would've gotten for my dad. I added it to my amazon wish list.
-
Great ideas! I have no idea how you only use 60 rolls a year however. Well done.😃
-
When my son was a toddler, he and "Bumpa" (Grandpa) would dance to polka music played on the old record player. You guy's brought back memories today.
-
Wow 60 rolls a year. Oh we use at least 32 rolls each month at $16 for the pack
-
We as young children were trained by our mother to use minimal toilet paper. It can be done! We never used paper products growing up either. People today have a tendency to be huge germaphobes -we all survived:) LOL Enjoyed the blog
-
I am boycotting target because of their new bathroom and changing room policy.
-
I need to focus on using less toilet paper! Most of the time, its not something we think about. And your children are just adorable. I love how they all talk like you and your husband! That is precious to me. Children are always learning from their parents and it would be great if more people would realize how true that is. Thanks for the wonderful video...complete with polka dancing!
-
Wow! You must use one sheet at a time of toilet paper! We use about 18 rolls of 1000 sheets kind each month.
-
Peter is a GREAT dancer! And Gracey has the rhythm, too! I laughed out loud....
-
Do you not wipe? holy moly no way that would last a year for a family your size..
-
What a great gift from Nebraska !!!!! Love the fun time dancing with kiddos. Oh my gardening, we don't dare plant outside til after Memorial Day here in UP of MI.
-
Wouldn't great grandma love the dancing! Great package----can I borrow the book?
-
Mary sure is a worker :)

This is actually kind of hilarious because my father in law and uncle both work at Bailey Yard (UPRR) in North Platte, my husband works in North Platte (we live in Gothenburg), we used to live right down the street IN North Platte where the North Platte Canteen was, and my grandma volunteered at it back in the 40's when she was in junior high. I'm really surprised she didn't send you Kool Aide and Runzas, but yes, Dorothy Lynch is very much a Nebraska staple :-)

Sorry if I'm being nosy, but does that $75 a week also include cleaners, soap, shampoo, feminine hygiene products, disposable diaper, etc.? I can't believe how little toilet paper you guys use!! We go through way more than that and there are only four people living in our house right now. Also, I sure wish I knew about those chucks(I think that's what you called them?) when my son was little and a chronic bed wetter. I had to wash his bedding daily!

you just made my day with the dancing soooooooooooooooooo lollllllllllllllllllllllll :))
