Okay, so I basically did everything exactly wrong. My peppers are by themselves, are shaded until late morning or afternoon, then full sun, and they're not real close together. I know I'm a beginner, but is it too much to ask that I'd have gotten one of those right just by the laws of averages? Meh...maybe I'll still get a little somethin somethin if I treat em right.
