Using coffee grounds Epson salts and egg shells to prevent issues from too much rain
Tips, Tricks
With all the rain we are having. Some of the plants have yellow starting on the leaves. This is from the abundance of water, washing the nutrients from the soil. I am using coffee grounds, Epson salts and egg shells to help the plants to have access to Magnesium and nitrogen. The egg shells, will help to keep slugs and snails off the plants. It will then break down into calcium for the plants. So It will prevent blossom end rot in the tomatoes. The coffee grounds will mix with the water to give nitrogen to the plants.

I heard people said that the mild that we drink if it bad we can use them for feterli, what do you think?

Hi dear friend, how longer it take for the egg shell to break down?

To crush eggshells use a baseball bat with big end hitting eggshells. The bigger the better

This is my exact problem. It's been raining here for 9 months straight nearly daily. I have a container garden because I couldn't plow up my grass to plant because of rain. And my yard floods with water just like yours. And now my plants are turning yellow and I had to pull up some of the tomatoes and all of my corn and I lost other things too. But, I replanted some. You solved several different problems in this one video. Now I know what to do currently and when I'm finally able to plant out in the yard probably next year. Thanks.

I'm using Epsom salt this year for the first time and my plants look good but I always wonder what they would have looked like without it.. now I know.

Enjoyed the video and yes the problem with the rain is that we can't live with it and we can't live without it and that's especially true here in the UK

Rally it is good work I like it..

thank u so much..... I immediately removed straw (they were in trash cans)... I let them dry out for 1 day then used fish emulsion and cut off yellowish leaves..

thank you for the video. I had my potatoes in a self watering container... I then put staw on the top and my leaves started curling and lower leaves started turning yellow.... after watching your video I think I over watered or the straw held in to much moisture.

Great video! Thanks for sharing your wealth of knowledge! :) Sooo helpful!

I also use coffee grounds and epsom salts every 2 weeks! I do put my sun dried eggshells in the blender and have it crush them into a fine powder....no blossom end rot yet! I'm in California so I don't get to see that lovely rain often....I Love your vids!

D.M. or Diatomaceous earth used for pool filers, is good for repelling slugs and snails and has lots of calcium. And is already ground fine.

EPSON Salt helped my tomato's taste the best last year thanks for posting the video

What zone are you?

Great Video, got to go back to the organics again, alphapha pellets-expensive though, are also great as a fertilizer, can't wait to see more of your garden later in year.

Hey, just a heads up. I use straw also, and just discovered this year that the farmer I get it from uses roundup on his crops. That makes his straw non organic, and can even be responsible for my crops not growing. I'll be using my own grass clippings now, no more of his straw.

Looks like you could grown rice there. A perk test might tell you that you need to move to higher ground !!
