hey fellow albertan. you ever watch back to eden, awesome vid for ultra gardening. a must watch imo

Thanks for taking the time to make the video & post.
A survival garden here in Missouri should include potatoes before growing Lettuce, Spinach or Beets. But even before potatoes should come sweet potatoes and Jerusalem Artichokes. At least that is what I've concluded based on reliable calories per square foot year after year. -
Every able bodied person should grow as much of their own food as possible. Right on brother! The stuff in the stores are full of chemicals.

It has been interesting to see your progression of your videos over time. I am especially interested in your survival gardening and food preservation videos. I wanted to ask if you do any fermenting of foods or beverages? I really have enjoyed watching the Back to Eden garden videos also. I am trying to get some comfrey growing all over my property to use as a green manure and chop and drop. I've got a few chickens and ducks. I do not want to work as hard as I see you doing. I am an older woman with some health and pain issues and just cannot handle all that digging so the layering and no till gardening suites me better. I am trying to get more of a permaculture food forest going so I don't have to keep replanting. I must work with nature so it doesn't make me its bitch, so building up the soil is important to me. I have a few fruit trees I have planted the last couple of years. Like you I am adding to and expanding my garden area every year. In fall2012 we had 6 large truck loads of wood chips dumped and spread over about 1/4 acre in my back yard that is my accessible garden area. Thnx for sharing. you do a very good job of making these videos its evident you work very hard. Happy Gardening keep growing.

Nice gardens. The problem of living in the city, not enough yardspace.

Sweet potatoes are fun to grow too. Leaves are edible on sweet potatoes :)

This video is highly appreciated! Just an idea, I guess for the benefits of a group in order to survive in times of disaster is to work with it cooperatively. I strongly agree that aside from establishing a relationship, it would also be the best aspect for survival. Thank you for posting anyway!

That's awesome! I'm glad you have somewhere to plant a garden! The potato bags are great, but 5 gallon buckets are a cheaper way to go! Take care!
