Where to buy "pump"? Salamat.

why not just use or adopt the second-hand barrel drums? they may be cheaper than these custom-made growing system of yours? i see american aquaponics gardeners are using them. pls remember we filipinos should get the most cheap and safe gadgets to use. this way even our poor to middle-income kababayans can avail of these systems

Concrete will affect your pH. A system with a high pH will have a problem with the nutrient absorption of the plants. We recommend coating the concrete or let it season. In any system that recirculates water, we need to remember that any chemicals that may leach into the system will be absorbed by the plants and the fish. So it is important that the materials we use are food safe. FRP gel coated and cured properly and with filtration can minimize these effects.

How about using concrete as your pond or growbed?

Our pumps have been running for 2 yrs now. We never clean them. We rarely turn them off. There is no secret to how we achieve this, we have very efficient filters.

When designing AP systems, cheap PVC of Fiberglass may not be food safe. It may leach chems into your system. Always have measures to prevent leaching or scrub them out of the system.
