Uganda farmers are pressing for revival of massive rabbit rearing in the country following realization that rabbit meat is on demand in the European markets. The farmers have formed rabbit farming association to help them share knowledge and resources in realization of their dream. The association follows a similar formation in Kenya, where farmers have formed one naming it rabbit republic
