Hey Skye stormed I have. Question
How do I export materials faster
Do I need more teamsters office, a feature set, or more of the thing that is making it -
Hello Skye, do you have any tips for importing stuff for factories or energy producers?
I just had a smooth game until it reached modern era, where my factories, entertainment buildings stopped working.
The problem was, i kinda depended on my mines for steel makers, power & nuclear reactors, until they depleted.
So i started to import stuff, but the materials I ordered never got delivered even though it said that the travel time for this and that good was about 1 or 2 months. And what's more annoying, once they got delivered into my ports, THEY STAYED IN THE PORTS for so long! :(
I got like 30+ teamsters spread all over my island, I always monitor the traffic, whenever I noticed a congestion, I immediately fixed the routes.. but still, materials never reached where i want them. as a result Electricity all over the city just shut down, then economies & popularities went collapsed so fast. hospitals dead, so on and so forth
Any idea bro? sorry for bad english though! T____T -
If you put in Managers will that cause those building to produce more?

As the self-proclaimed dictator of your fan club, you know I adore you! But watching you play, sometimes I can't help but wonder how you get by in the world!! ;)
Also, if you're upgrading your internet...does that mean we're going to have some live streaming on Twitch from you?!?!?!? -
Great video Skye.
Let's hope you are not on a crest of a slump. -
Skye, I still dont get why you face buildings in the wrong direction. I mean, if a people enter a mansion of a library, they enter it by the front entrance, not by the side or the back, so front should always face the road... Its nothing important in performance terms but is killing me see how you are doing it all wrong all the time lol.

Sorry say, but you have always problems with the housing in all your missions.
You have like 288 people in the island, and 150 are homeless. -
Kitten? Ball of String? Def my favorite parts of your videos! Great Gameplay! You have me yelling at the TV (where I watch the videos) even though I know you can't answer back!
-
It is kinda amazing that you as an entertainer skip that part so much! ;)
-
I'd really like to see longer videos from you, these 20 minute videos lately seems to only be you ummming and arrring for the most of it :(
-
Wait Skye, if you import steel every 2 months and export them for every 4, doesn't that mean you import near to 5 thousand and export onle in the 3 thousand for every 4 months?
-
Skye you could import unprocessed materials to be processed in factories and export them, gaining more profit.

After this try out kerbal space program, prison architect or DEFCON

Just remember you have 2 years when you issue 'building' edicts you don't have to put them all in at once. You don't need 28,000 before you act, just remember to finish what you start within 2 years - easier said than done, I know ;-) But then the industries that you put in first can pay for the ones later =)

From my experience, trade contracts are less important than the industries you develop as well as the manpower you invest into producing a quantity of resources. You were smart to switch most of the Bananas over to something different, but even a Banana contract for $1160 per 1000 won't make as much money as the default price of Cocoa (which is around $1500 per 1000). Presuming that you get the same production out of Cocoa workers as you do Banana workers, Cocoa workers will produce more revenue per person.
With that said, Pineapples are more valuable than Bananas to grow, if you plan to put a cannery in. A cannery can also take excess Meat, Coffee, and FIsh production to convert it into higher value resources.
In the World Wars/Cold Wars eras, Cigars, Rum and Textiles are strong economic options and you really can't go wrong with them. If you have a decent supply of Gold on the island, Jewelry is a very profitable option, and even then, occasionally you can.find a reasonable import contract for gold.
On Isla Rojo, there is no Bauxite and only one Iron Mine, so it's not as profitable to pursue Steel/Cars as you may find yourself having to start importing Iron in addition to Bauxite.
Fortunately the game does not implement supply and demand considerations, so if you were to convert everything to Tobacco/Cigar production, you wouldn't crash the Cigar or Tobacco trade price. I'ts tempting to expand into every industry that appears profitable, but that can take a lot of resources and by extension people (which you then have to house, feed, and keep healthy, including managing all of their other Happiness needs.
Importing one resource cheaply in order to turn around and export it at a higher price is unfortunately a slow process and in my experience, not necessarily worth the hassle. I tried it on the Pirate King mission and it did take a while for the imported gold to get exported, meanwhile that ties up a minimum of two trade ships to doing things more productively. You also want to make sure the price of the import is lower than the default price, otherwise you might get a normal Freighter hauling it away for a economic loss. -
these damn cliffhangers, DAMN YOU! ლ(ಠ益ಠლ) ლ(ಠ益ಠლ)

That thing with teamsters might be bugged. They don't share resources between factories, they might just fill up the closest one
