Seeds take longer to grow a flower from than tubers. Daylilies do not have bulbs, they grow from tubers.

Seedlings bloom in 'no time at all'? From what I've read it can take 1-2 years for the plant to bloom after germination

Just one big problem here. Daylilies don't grow from bulbs or tubers. They grow from fleshy roots.
