Thank you for the video! My wife thought she killed my mothers Jade plant she had given us as a gift, that's nearly 20 years old when my wife transfered it to another pot and watered it. It sagged, and fell apart. After watching your video, we found that the pieces that fell apart have calloused and started sprouting tiny roots. It's doing what it has to do to live. Amazing! So we'll leave the limbs out in the open for another two weeks or so, as you say, then replant them with your 80/20 potting mix. You really saved our hides. I don't know if I could have faced my mother again, if we had to tell her we killed her magnificent 20 year old Jade!! Thanks, man!! :)

I have a jade plant and twice I have come home and it has snapped at one of the legs off. I don't think it's my cats knocking it, but I can't figure out what it could be. thanks to your video I'm able to transplant it but you seem to know a lot about jade so maybe you can help me out. thanks!

so to get roots you set a cutting down on a carpet with no water? I'll try that. Your tips are things I'll try.. I have the the miracle-gro cactus suculent potting mix supposedly made for jade plant category but wonder why you need to add perlite to the mix?

Good video, a little off topic but do you have any knowledge about jade viruses? I suspect my jade to have one, some of the leaves have a black spot that covers about half the leaf. This spot is only on the front of the leaf not on the backs.

Great video

Thanks for the advice! I really didn't know what to do when transplanting my jade. It was getting really heavy and it doesn't really have a "trunk". So just leave the trimmings out of the water in the light? Then plant it?

Getting my first Jade Tree tomorrow. Thank you so much because now I know what to expect :)

Thanks so much for your fantastic, clear, detailed video. I too am a lover of all my plants and hate to lose any part of them; unfortunately, mine has been neglected for years due to lack of knowledge. It is sooooo leggy and sad right now. I'm going to use your method and am sure it will look and feel beautiful in no time.

How often do you have to fertilize a jade plant?

very informative video. I trimmed a long branch of my jade because it was too heavy and growing sideways. I don't know I put it in water (don't ask why i would do that, I had a moment of desperation LOL) so after seeing this, I'm just leaving it by the window near the plant. THANK YOU! hopefully you have saved my "new" Jade :)
