Gary, I'm not sure who does the closed captioning translation but it's very different from the audio. I thought I would mention it as you may have HOH (hard of hearing) followers.

I really find your videos inspirational and instructional. I just retired, so finally have the time to devote to gardening. Thank you!

Is it OK to use miricale grow plant food on my garden plants when there ready for plant food? our Home Depot doesn't carry the Vigro liquid that you are using.
-
when do you start to fertilize? Can you start in seeding phase or after transplant?
-
Everything looks great. I will seriously consider getting a lights set up in the future. Thanks.

Impressive channel. Two thumbs up. I use a 250w cfl 6500k bulb. Do I need to put it really close for future transplants? I have hydro peppers and cucumbers in there so it's hard to get light close. Will seed starts get leggy? Planning on onion starts, lettuce I'm in zone 5b so have a while before warm plants can go in.

Hi Gary, I am following the same method but I am starting my collards, mustards etc, I have a little bit of mold, is neem okay for those kinds of vegetables ?
-
Hi Gary how much fertilizer they need?
-
I'm in Maine and have some plastic hoop houses over my SF garden raised beds. I was able to sow some greens Feb 28, 3 weeks early due to the freakishly mild winter here. Hitting 65 today... totally unheard of climate....!

Gary, could you please advise as to when I could put my leeks in the garden, seedlings, I live in Washington State. thank you, I enjoy your videos.😄
-
Gary, thanks so much for posting your videos year round showing how a real gardner always has a garden project going! Keep up the great work!
-
Thank you so much Gary! This will be my first year with a vegetable garden. Your videos have been a wealth of information. Unfortunately the seeds I started a few days ago I did wrong so I have to replant them.
Thanks again! Wish me luck! -
Gary,
Have you ever found cinnamon to be toxic to germinating plants? -
Which do you recommend, peat or plastic seedling starter cells?
I've been having a lot of problems with mold. Neem oil is effective, but it seems to be damaging seedlings. I wonder if plastic cells would be better, since much of the mold is growing on the outside of the peat pots as opposed to the surface of the soil.
Also, is late February too late to re-sow seeds in zone 8? -
First off, Gary, your videos are probably the best source on youtube. I aspire to be as good as you are one day. 2 quick questions, if you don't mind.
1) What's the story on chard indoors? I see on your flats (at like, 7:29) that they kind of... lie down. Is that normal, or is that legginess? Mine do the same thing after 2ish weeks in the grow closet, but the ones I start outdoors seem to never experience this. How do you handle indoor chard?
2) I find I have to water a LOT in my grow closet (like, every day). How do you do your watering? I've been trying 30 minutes water from below until the top looks wetish, but I feel like there is probably a better way than taking them out of the closet and over to the hose, soaking, draining into a bucket, back in the closet. -
Hello gary
