Hi. I"m looking for a rough timeline for topping my tomato plants. I am trying to get the existing tomatoes to turn red. I don't want the frost to do any damage so I'm looking for the best time to top the plant. Any suggestions? Thanks!

where do you get your seeds bro ?

Hi Jeremiah
New sub here.
Quick question. Do you have a video teaching how to grow tomatoes in containers? i.e. soil, fertilizer etc. If not, can you please point me to where I can learn about this. You did mention the other Youtuber (Indoor harvety gardens) Is that a good source for learning the basics of growing tomatoes and peppers in containers? Thanks a million for your great videos and easy teaching style -
Thank you so much for this video. I've been trying to find guidance for removing, or topping off, my tomato plants. I'm a former native New Yorker and just love growing tomatoes since I moved to NJ three years ago. For the first two summers, I grew only Sweet 100 tomatoes. When I was able to pick them, I usually ate them before I got into the house LOL!!! They were so very delicious!!!!! This year tho I was given three Big Boy plants that were grown from seeds, and they are doing very, very well. Can't wait to taste them.
Ok, thanks again! I'm off to top off my plants! -
Your voice is soothing. like asmr quality.

Everything looks great man. What is your soil like?
-
aren't suckers actually helping the tomato plant by providing it with more energy since there are more leaves it can use?
-
It's not even summer yet and two of my cherry tomatoes have grown a foot above their 5 foot cage. If I top them will they find ways to put out more trusses down the growing stems? Or will they just focus on ripening what they have?

i have the same siccors :)

Nice video, everything looks nice and healthy. What is that really productive tomato called? I'm growing Brandywine, Granny Cantrell, Paul Robeson and Amish Paste this year.

Had to cut few branches off my tomato plants yesterday. It was getting out of control and I also wanted the plants to put more energy into the green tomatoes. My cherry tomatoes I may have to top off because they're in pots and already 4+ feet tall. Don't really anything to support them except bambo sticks. Love your videos! Thank you for making it!

New sub here. Loved your video.
When my tomato plant gets really tall and runs out of space, will cutting the top branches make it grow horizontally, more bushy?
Also, I am about to transplant it to its final bigger pot. Should I remove the flowers? I really don't want to. -
Really loved your presentation... I've subscribed.... now where are your How To cook Tomatoes Videos? HA! good stuff! Thanks JJ84

Hey JJ what happened to you have you received my message on facebook regarding on the seeds you sent to me. I'm browsing how to sow them correctly so all of them will grow. I don't want your seeds to die and I want to grow them. ^_^

Thanks JT, very great to hear! I do save seeds. Usually its very hard to tell which tomatoes came from which plant, however this year i carefully labelled, and look forward to collecting and storing all of my heirloom varieties! I also keep a small premium crop from the best of the tomatoes, from good tasting to nice looking and cool attributes..well see how many seeds i can get this year, i do tend to share more than I probably should! Thanks for watching and the kind words, enjoy!

Your plants look great as always! Do you do any seed saving with all of those heirloom types or do you just choose wisely when grabbing seeds in the spring?

Thank you so much CK, I sometimes do wish I was a Cali Kid, and was able to soak in that year round sunshine! I do love it out there, very good energy and people! I like this method for peppers too. Think may do a pruning video when I take them indoors. I wish you the best with your garden and harvest too! Im sure it will be a good one for us all, thanks again!

Thank you! I have put a lot of love and time into these plants! I am glad they had a good year for growing here in Ontario. I hope they keep producing well before frost! Thanks for watching, and enjoy!
