When I want to learn something, I go into hyper research mode. I love learning knew things :)

Another great collaboration series. Thanks for tip # 2. Love the Homestead Network too ;) Always learning - never too old to learn. We have a physical library and have many books saved to my Kindle Fire. Thanks again Brad.

Yes sir an important tip but is it not what we are all suppose to be doing every day just living on this earth. Thank you for sharing.
-
Absolutely, should be a natural trait in a homesteader. If we allow ourselves to think we have nothing more to learn, we will stagnate and even start going backwards. No matter where we are on this journey, there is always more to learn!

#1 on the list should be to start debt free. Can succeed as long as you are paying for money.

Great advice! We are at the very beginning of building our homestead and all we can do right now is research. We've been reading and watching videos so far and can't wait for the experiment stage. We expect things to go wrong and hope to learn from mistakes also. Research is key and I think talking to neighbors and the immediate community is just as important for advice to learn from.

Yes! There is always a lesson in everything we do......read, do and sometimes re do! Thanks Brad!

We crave learning. That is why we have books, magazines and we watch YT, especially BFH. Thanks Brad

That has got to be one of the best suggestions given!!

Keep learning. The more you learn the younger you get.
-
So agree learn something new everyday, it keeps the brain cells working and you benefit from expanding your muscle memory from doing them.
-
Always be learning no matter how much experience you have, that's living😆 I have learned so much from you tube (as well) and I thank you guys for putting yourselves out there

Well said, Brad! There IS a wealth of information and knowledge available for those interested. As I've said on many comment sections, I would not have learned how to can (preserve foodstuffs via pressure or water-bath canning) or even dry canning without fellow YouTubers showing me how. Sure, could borrow a book from the library and sure, I could attend seminars provided by my local CSAs or heck, even a paid-class from a local LDS cannery, but these videos (although they're heavily edited due to time and attention-deficit...Squirrel!...issues), they are "hands-on" teaching. The best part of these types of YouTube videos, you can replay them over and over until you're certain of yourself...and that first "PLINK!" of a lid sealing shut...HEAVEN. Preach it and Teach it, Brad! Awesome job on the collaboration, sir!
