Tomatoes do not cause inflammation. Studies have shown they do the exact opposite. They have amazing results when serving a high tomato based diet to lab rats to reduce tumor size to almost gone.

What a beautiful farm.. Monsanto??

that farm has some pretty diabolical plants but then again im only growing 6 not 600 but i swear down i could keep them in better condition than that...

Johnny, i'm sorry to say, but this farm sucks, much like your jokes. i grow tomatoes hydroponically, i actually have to search my entire greenhouse to find one single blossom end rot, yes 1 single head and it makes me dissatisfied to see it. and if you think that my tomatoes have chemicals, well the only pesticide i use is sulfur which is the safest and organic. i wish people can move on from the stone age and the organic evangelists drop their methods and stop promoting LIES. organic fertilizers are not safer than synthetic fertilizers, actually much more dangerous, with animal crap and bad viruses like the ecoli and what else. hydroponic vegetables contain much more vitamins and minerals and last much longer on shelf. also, on this farm, you have to look for an hour to pick a pound of good non rotten heads, so inefficient usage of land and labor, and if humanity relies on such farmers, we would have widespread famine, probably earth will not support a billion people. move on!!!

The bird's liking red sounds like an old wives tale. My understanding is that birds only bite fruits if they are thirsty. Having a bird fountain keeps birds off your plants.

As a 1st time planter of tomatos, Indeed, I appreciate(sp) your advice. Just picked a few from our garden. (Again...I know nothing). Yet with your advice, I needed to wait a day or two of how to determine ripeness. Thank You, Sir. MRLee

Thanks for the tips. I got overexcited to (finally) eat a homegrown tomato again, and picked mine too early. Hopefully the taste is better on the riper ones. :)
