can i replace fish fertilizer with vermi tea?
-
I used your fertilizing recipe this year. It was my best year for tomatoes and zucchini. Thanks for making it so simple for us newbies.

Yes it is getting warmer in Australia! I have used Fish in he past but Epsom Salt not as yet. You learn every day and can not wait till two or 3 more weeks and give this a run. You make a wonderful show and teach so well, excellent! Richard

Sheep pellets also work really well also instead of fish fertilizer. I have set up a header tank in my glasshouse that feeds back into my drip irrigation system. I pour liquid fertilizer into the tank, the water system is timed, it takes 45 mins to fill the header tank, when it shuts off gravity feeds my plants the fertilizer. I do this about once every 3 weeks it works great and I get bumper crops, here in NZ

I fallow your instructions for growing tomatoes and result was from 6 plants of tomatoes was about 2 pounds . Very desepointing .

Yellowing leaves are often a result of Magnesium deficiency so epsom salts are perfect antidote. We generally switch to high potassium fertiliser once the first truss is set. When I pot out my tomato seedlings in to the big pots I usually add chicken pellet manure ( high nitrogen ) which seems to send them on the way, but too much seems to be a bad thing, think I'll try fish fertiliser next year.

Do you have a Vegan alternative to your fertilizer?
-
I agree with these types of fertilizers. But your two capfuls of fish and little handful of Epsom salts is way too little!! That size watering can would be able to do a 10x10 area.... So the amount of fertilizer that actually reaches the plants is insignificant. A real "Drop in the bucket.. I would use 1/2 cup of each in that large watering can and then follow up with watering the garden to dilute the solution...

Dear sir Madam Thank You Very much for sharing video. I have one question. I have in my back yard wooden bed to the sizeof 8 x 4 feet. I have raised soil level by adding soil purchased from Home depot.
In half of area i.e. in 4 feet x 4 feet I have planted paper plant & in renaming half I have planted Fotomat plant Papper plants are just 6 inch taller & tomato plants are around 1 feet tall with few yellow flowers. Both the plant seeds are from general grocery store.. I am seeking guidance for how can I add Epsom Salt , What should be the procedure, How-much in quantity , can I use 2 liter plastic bottle to spry dissolved Epsom Salt. Your gudience will be highly appreciated. Thanking you in advance. -
I reviewed the procedure. All I can say is thanks God Bless America!

I'm just starting out in gardening and though I've grow tomatoes on occasion since I was young, I've never once heard about using Epson.
Is there a convenient way to do this on a larger scale so I'm not having to mix up batches in buckets to haul back and forth to the garden? I'm thinking something like a water hose dispenser? -
can you use this on any plant in the garden or only tomatoes?
