I am so confused...A lot of people say one should not water Tulips in the summer. I have them planted among other plants and in full sun well drained soil. I live in Zone 5. My question is if I don't water it then how can I save them from rain? Cant control mother nature. I think this is a myth. As long as they do not stay in standing water they are fine. What do you think?

I live in Houston and just put my tulips in the frig. This will be my first time planting them, and I was wondering if it is possible to dig up the tulips each year and store them in the frig or some other place until it's time to plant them again. I heard that you could do that... what do you think? Thanks :)
