Thank you for sharing this. Not sure why you got some thumbs down ratings, but this is very good information.

I planted about 3 cantaloupe seeds (in a 1-1/2' X 6' raised bed), now I have plenty of vines and about 15 or so very pretty yellow/orange flowers!
And in all those flowers I can only find one (1) female so far!
Am I doing something wrong? I fertilize and water. And, they get plenty of sun.
Thanks -
Can I grow them in a larger pot for more/bigger fruit?

An animal has eaten ALL the leaves off of my newly transplanted cantaloupe. Is it possible to save it? will it grow more leaves if I fertilize it with a high nitrogen fertilizer? Any advice would be helpful. thanks😊

Thanks Luke!!! Great video!! I had eaten a cantaloupe a month ago and decided to save the seeds!! Glad I did! I planted them in egg shells in the egg container [recycle baby!! LOL] June 1st, 2016...they have come up already!! We just did our first veggie garden this year and had planted a couple rows of corn, tomatoes, onions [had onions that sprouted in the bag and said: Hey, why not!?!] and the same with our potatoes [no seed taters here!! Saved us some $ !!] and have other veggies..swiss chard, green & yellow beans, collard greens, parsley [LOVE!!] Broccoli, asparagus, of course, we didnt think THAT far ahead of HOW MUCH space the big leafies will grow! So, great to see your video!! I have really big plastic planters and will def try this!! Will have to give some of my plantings to our neighbor as we have about 20 plants! LOL Again, thanks and happy gardening!!! Pam Zirbel, Upstate Western NY !!!

Many thanks for this video. We planted some cantaloupe seeds just to see if they'd grow. We now have about 70 plants. I guess I'll start filling containers. lol You also answered a question as to why I've never had luck growing pumpkins. I tended to plant pumpkin at the edge of the garden so I could train them onto the lawn and keep them manageable. This also meant they had the vines disturbed regularly while mowing, weeding, etc. Now I know to not move the vines. I had no idea those little roots along the vine were important. Seams obvious in hindsight. My son and his girlfriend are vegan now so I'll try my best to keep them supplied with fresh healthy, homegrown, pesticide free veggies and fruit. Your videos make the enjoyable task of growing your own food easier and even more enjoyable. A very big thank you. Keep up the good work. We appreciate it.

Is there anyway to grow them faster?

I have a 55 gallon drum that I've cut into 3 sections equally. Each section holds roughly 18 gallons of Dirt. In this situation, how many cantaloupe plants per section should i plant?

Thank you I'm going to try this :)

To control your fruit do you clip back when you see the flowers forming?

I can't grow anything in any area of my garden because of the toxins in it so growing fruits and vegetable is the best way for me. Thanks for sharing the video it really gives me an idea how to grow cantaloupe in a pot and other vegetables. Btw, what is the recommended size of the container?
