In this week's video tutorial with Denver Post gardening coach Betty Cahill, Cahill gives a tip on how to plant leggy tomatoes so that they can better establish and withstand wind. Cahill says that when tomatoes leave the garden center, they are often leggy, meaning the stem has grown with a lot of room between the leaves, because the plant has been growing for so long under artificial light. But, with a little extra attention during planting, the tomato will still thrive.
