Hello ...I'm new to seed starting and I would like to know do you put them under grow lights and a heating pad to get them to germinate? Thanks.
-
Thanks this saved me a lot of TIME ..... HAHAHhahahahahahauahuauhahHAHAHA

I planted my thyme seeds on the 2, and today is the 6th and they've already poked through. Everything I've read say they take 14-28 days. Is this normal or what?
-
Oh man how do you do that?
-
Hi Gary, my thyme and oregano seeds germinated about 10 days after sowing in the sense i can see very tiny green sprouts but it's been a month and they're still the same size. Are they dead? What do you think I'm doing wrong here?
P.S. Mighty thanks for all the tutorials -
So teacher.... may I place my oregano on my room?

Gary, thanks for this video - great help for my struggles at getting thyme going from seed. Would you use this method for Roman chamomile too?

How long does it take a thyme cutting to root in water ?

I actually think thyme like the outdoors. Sun, neglect and less water. I am surprised the rosemary is doing well. It is hard to grow indoors.
-
Sure! The established thyme plants I dont water unless list it has been like a week of no rain. If so... I just give them a quick soaking. They like sun and drier ground. SO I think your are right about the shade.

Thanks, I enjoy your videos, my thyme plant doesn't look so good, but still alive. Is under a tree in the shade because before was in full sun and didn't look good, how many times at week do you water them?
-
Hmm. Thyme does like to be dry. If it however totally dries out it will die. Were there periods of totally dry soil? And how did it die? Any fungus. Did it just brown out and dry up. Are you transplanting it when you get it?
-
Actually when top of it is dry. They dont need to stay soaked. When dry give it a good watering. Watering again when top dries out.
-
how often do you need to water it? and how much water?
-
Excellent. I think you will be successful. This method really works. I ended up with over 40 transplant cups of thyme and oregano. If you have trouble let me know. Maybe I can help.

Thank you for the video, from few years ago I dicided to grow up oregano and thyme And I have been trying to grow them directly out door and I failed only 1% of them live So this is the perfect way to grow them indoor first. Thanks again because you engouraged me by pushing me forward to try it this way plus having all the hope to succeed.
