The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Mutagen farming (RED, green & blue)
Tips, Tricks
Greetings, witchers. Today I bring you a farming video, this time about getting mutagens, especially RED ones, which are the most difficult ones to find. From what I remember, I knew Arachas dropped some red mutagens for me on the rare occasion I killed one, so I tried to find Arachas. As you can see in the video, if we go to the Orphans of Crookback Bog teleport, and a bit to the south, we can find an Arachas there among other endregas. Arachas have a small chance to drop red mutagens, and also any other type of mutagen. If you want another extra chance of getting a red mutagen, you can also go a bit more to the south and kill the Fiend lurking around there, as shown in the video. Keep in mind though, the Fiend is harder to fight than the Arachas. Meditating a few hours will usually make most of the monster re-spawn, but sometimes this might not work and you may need to load a saved game, even if it's saved at the same place you're farming, doesn't matter. This will usually fix the problem, as I show in the video as well. The most efficient way to get red mutagens is therefore killing the Arachas over and over, after each meditation, since it's an easier prey than the Fiend. By doing this for like 15 minutes I managed to get like 3 or 4 red mutagens at least, so the method does work, even if it's not too fast or efficient as one would like to. Hope this video is useful to any of you looking for those rare red mutagens, and see you next time : )

Hey some constructive criticism here.
This is probably an inefficient method for farming red mutagens, if I was you, I'd research where to best farm them at different levels and make a guide with that information in mind.
In terms of video production, I would suggest trying to cut some corners off of the repeats. By that I mean you don't really need to show meditation and traveling and whatnot, could cut those parts out entirely in post without sacrificing guide quality. You will gain more views if you can manage to keep it shorter without losing much information.
Anyways good luck to you and I hope my comment wasn't taken as offensive just trying to offer some help. :) -
the mobs wont respawn ? How can i fix this ?

SPOILERJust a heads up the Blood and Wine dlc makes it easy to make/find mutagens once you unlock the vineyard.

Your build looks pretty tanki. Could you show/tell what abilities/equipment are you using?

what a noobish video... just go to whale grave yard in skellige

if it helps, endrega and arachase could be found near the Forest Hut and the Broken Tree or smth like that...but again..there is little chance to find red mutagen
-
i meditated again and again but they do not respaw

By playing through the whole game and killing alot of stuff i eventually manage to get like 4 Greater Mutagens of each colour which is all you need. Then again this guide is amazing thanks!

what armour set is that?

There's also a couple of destroyed houses near downwarren where you can find one/ three (not sure) Alghouls which will drop red ones pretty often.

Great tutorial man, keep up the great work:D

Idk about anyone else but I couldn't get anything to respawn. What worked for me if to fast travel to a different land (like Skillega) and back to crookback. BAM new enemies.
