A very simple little farm, Tested with cows (Because they are better than pigs lets be honest). This is some what similar to an old design of mine, however that has since broken! So I thought I would crack on and re-design! Now just as a quick warning: The baby cows do occasionally bug out of their cells when relogging. If you remove the slab so the Baby Cows just stand on the hopper, it appears to fix the problem (or at least make it better). Hope this helps! Take out the half slab over the hopper. Lava will not kill the baby animals and it will not burn up the drops from the adult cows.

Just so everyone knows it doesn't work with sand you NEED a sticky piston with a solid block on it

i understand that the piston with sand is to create a pulse that retracts the lava, but it won't retract for me before the cows die. it won't retract at all. any help?

I built the farm exactly, but when the lava switch is engaged, it stays flowing like the water switch, even though there is a regular piston with sand, and ideas please help yo!
