The diverse uses of the mimosa silk tree
Tips, Tricks
I have wanted to get to this video since the day i seen the first blooms pop up...In fact, I tried to get to it the day I filmed the magnolia tree video but it started raining on me. It pairs WELL with magnolia. Mimosa tree has been used for A LOT. It pairs well with other plants that will help to bring out its properties even more. Its been used for anxiety, depression and for grieving the loss of a loved one. Some have paired it with other depression and uplifting hers/trees to help a person feel better while calming. mildly sedative and therefore used for insomnia. Known to be antibacterial and anti-inflammatory so you may be able to use this tree where you need those properties as well...Be aware that you shouldnt use the mimosa tree when pregnant because he pushes or moves blood. (So promotes healing but you never want to cause bleeding when pregnant) The main constituents in the tree are tannins. Some women use it, paired with other herbs for an natural antioxidant! Because it promote blood flow and its gentle, it has often been used for male sexual organs as well. Parts used, bark, flowers, roots, seeds, and leaves. Bark and flowers mostly. How to use: You can make tinctures, capsules, dried, infusion or teas! ATTENTION: this video is not intended to treat, diagnose, or cure any illness. Please, seek a medical professional for medical advice.

I love mimosas since I was a little girl climbing my grand dads Mimosa. I now have a fire break adjacent to my house lined with these beautiful health helpers. It's called the "Happy tree", using all its leaves, bark and flowers to combat insomnia, depression, and a new outlook for ptsd sufferers. Beyond the beauty of it of its looks, it's also more beautiful on the inside. Make a tincture using flowers, young shoots, leaves in a ever clear liquor, take 10 drops from a dropper in a cup of hot water. Goodnight :)

the root bark is a hallucinogenic, about the only thing this is good for, is nitrogen fixation.

I have one of these in my yard. Rather large, probably 20+ years old. Has 3 trunks coming out of the main trunk which is barely seen in the ground. My grandmother also has one. It can be very fragrant when it blooms. Must be very sweet because I see hummingbirds fly all around the blooms .

Attention everyone... Please understand that YOU are responsible for YOUR actions and only YOU will know how and what plants may effect you in a negative manner. There are many plants that have great properties, but over time(due to one bad reaction in spite of the many good things it might have done) it developed a bad name. There are a few plants that are known to be poisons but in fact, you should just limit the consumption. Please, make sure you research all things. I cannot mention in every video, every time I do one, the pros and cons; the videos would be extremely long... I will do my best to get to the major ones, but the rest will be left to you and your research along with personal relationships with the plants. I want my videos to be helpful but I do NOT want anyone to think plants are harmless and weak. They are, for the most part, the main origin of modern medicine and should be used with caution. I understand the thrill of finding medicinal plants on your own, but until you have experience with that plant, consider all with caution.

The roots can be a dangerous drug as there is no way of knowing the potency of the chemical in the root at any given time. Great video.
