Marijuana is a whole category of different plants and this episode will give you the starting basics to distinguish them apart, both as a beginner grower learning the basics and as a buyer who is looking to improve his knowledge of his purchases. In my view, Cannabis is a Genus, with three Species that further break down into sub-species and variations. Since there is argument regarding what qualifies as its own 'species', you have to choose a school of thought when figuring this out. For the purposes of this video we will mash Afghanica and Kafiristanica into the Indica group but I thought they were worth mentioning anyway as emerging sub-species with potential to someday be real species themselves...I just don't feel they're there yet.

This information regarding the supposed differences between Sative Vs Indica is absolute nonsense and shows a total disregard for any scientific or botanical classification.
Sativa means cultivated. As in Lactatus Sativa (common salad lettuce).
Cannabis Sativa is Hemp. Hemp produces less that 0.4% THC. Any genotype of Cannabis that produces more than 0.4% THC is botanically classified as Cannabis Indica. End of debate.

Cannabis Indica evolved from Cannabis Sativa. There is NO SUCH THING as a sativa x indica hybrid. The idea is a nonsense, scientifically inaccurate and downright wrong. It's an unhelpful simplification based on misinformation and ignorance that is now used to aid classification at the point of sale. Nothing more nothing less. -

Ruderalis almost cant get you high ? hmm, ill have to dissagree on that , okay it aint no amnesia haze ,but it sure as hell gets you lifted ! ;) , nowadays all famous indica sativa strains have been crossed with autoflowers and they produce awesome weed , just not as much as you would from an indica or sativa

Species.name is not capitalized. Cannibis sativa, for example.
