Thai basil are wonderful herb to grow and a must have in Thai and other Asian cuisines. This herb is easy to grow in sunny California, requires little care. You can use the leaves in soup, salad, or mix them with other vegetables. The flowers are very intense scent and flavor.

They do well in full/partial shade, temperature from 70-90. Mine seem to like the partial shade. I normally grow them directly in the ground. In term of soil, they like loose soil. I had several plants in more clay soil, and they didn't survive.
