I tried this method last year and the weed simply grew up under the fabric. Maybe the suggestion about putting a layer of mulch over the fabric would keep that from happening? For this year, I've taken out the fabric and am just using a much, to cover the soil around the plants. We'll see how that works.

I have not put this down in my garden as it is a bit large. 1/2 acre or so. I do use it in my planting beds in the back yard and it makes life a LOT easier as far as weeding goes.

if you do have weeds that may grow under the fabric you dhould cover it with dome soil or a thick layer of mulch ..lol
