Thanks for the tips. This is the first time I am planting squash so I will make a note to make a dirt hill & tin foil trick at the stem.

Those Squash looks great. We all have to do gardening with what we have. I personally have to do it differently from others since I'm in a wheelchair but it doesn't stop me to do gardening and loving every minute of it lol Loved and Subbed

I would keep two plants per hill. If you have space in the middle of the bed, you might could make an additional hill and carefully transplant two of your other seedlings. Just get enough soil with them when you move them and they will do fine. Water them in well when you transplant them. I do it all of the time and it works! Good luck and thanks for watching!

I have. In fact, last year I had an entire crop of beautiful zucchini squash plants destroyed by the devils. I have seen some videos on how to prevent this. You need to wrap the lower stem in aluminum foil. This prevents the vine borer from laying the eggs on your plants. Search YouTube for videos. There are several out there. Good luck!

Have you heard of the squash vine borer? It has DEVASTATED all the squash in my county. It seems a moth lays an egg next to blooming yellow blossums....at night....and the larvae , emerges to bore into the beautiful squash plant...and in two days , it's laying on the ground dead. The larvae remains...in you compost...and returns the next year. HELP.

No problem. Good luck and thanks for watching!

Thanks for the tip on the fungi or mildew...because every time I would see that I it would drive me crazy...I felt helpless. Now, I have the information that I need in order to be successful.

Great thank you

Make sure they are hilled up nicely to get good air flow through there and only water at night or early in the morning. Like I said, don't wet the leaves of the plants, just the base to prevent the spread of diseases.

Wow that is ANSWOME :-) am going to the same in my bed thanks

I had 9 squash plants in this 4x4 bed. That is probably as many as I would put. Squash do need some room to spread out.

How many plants do you have in that 4❌4
