I'm a beginner and I thank you for doing this video. thank you for the tips. I cannot find here in the Philippines a soil mix that is specific for cactus and succulents and so I have to mix a potting soil with fumice. more of this kind of videos for beginners please. God bless.

I needed this, I have killed so many succulents that I am ashamed right now, never in my life I killed a plant but in last 6 months I killed almost 10 plants in my home including succulents. I am hoping these tips will be handy. Laura can you suggest few plants that could be kept in the restrooms without windows, I can move them around for light and sun. Thanks

Hello, i have a few succulents outside but i'm not aloud to bring them inside. they're in an area where they get much sunlight and they are surrounded by a little box with a towel over it. do you think they'll die before winter is over? i live in Florida so i'm hoping it wont hurt them too badly. any feedback?

I am so thankful you posted this video because I picked up my first succulents on the same day!

I wish that I had seen this video before I went shopping for succulents. I let a person in the plant area of Home Depot talk me out of the very soil you suggested and that I was going to buy. I''ve already planted the succulents and did everything else you mentioned, so maybe they will be ok. Somebody was getting rid of a two-tiered fountain, that didn't work anymore, and I took it home and planted the succulents in it. I also planted some ivy and Creeping Jenny so they will drape over the edge. I am in Florida for the winter and love being able to work with plants at this time of year! Also, thanks again for selecting me to win one of the gift certificates for My Fairy Garden. I am anxiously awaiting my order!

what is your opinion on putting gravel on top, such as how it affects watering?

I love these videos. I planted my first succulents this year. A few died. The most part they are doing good.
