Starting Vegetable Seeds Tomato How to plant from seed grow square foot garden planting
Tips, Tricks
Planting seeds for the garden. This year I'm starting most of the Greens indoors in cups. Hopefully this will give them a better headstart and help me space the plants properly. In years past i've planted them way too close together. If you dip the roots of the seedlings in water before you plant them in the cups it will make them straighten out and easier to drop in the dirt. Great video!

you are so organized it is calming to watch your seed starting processes

Where do you get your Azomite rock dust from? I've had a hard time finding it in garden stores. Thank you!

Great video, could you tell us the specific names of the products that you use, specifically the product that has both the vermiculite perlite in one bag...who makes that product.

You sir are a very patient man, I dont thing I have that much patience, so I either buy from the store or plant tomato plants. It must cost more to set up your system than buying tomatoes. Understand I am not knocking you for doing it right, just saying I am a lousy gardener.

I just planted my 12 heirloom oxheart tomatoes into my garden. I started them from seed and it is way more enjoyable that way.

The seed is very similar to an embryonic sack. It contains all the nutrients required until the 2nd true leaves. Seedling root do not have the ability to absorb anything but water so adding worm casting and or minerals is a waste of product.
I start all my seedlings in straight vermiculite with the same success. -
Wow, I have a lot to learn about gardening. I was really surprised when you separate each little seeding @3:02 You must do a lot of gardening. I need to look to see if you have any videos on storing your grown produce.

so one little plant of lettuce will grow to be huge I planted my seeds pretty heavy so should I seperate them?

Good representation. I have much the same myself , only I develop my own worm castings. I made a 2' x 3' box with 1/4" screening which I screen out all my compost and worm castings when finished. I add coco coir to the mix also course vermiculite when I can find it. There is only one place near me that sells it and its not cheap. Im sure your seedlings will do well.
