We at Grow Organics, love to grow lots of different vegetables, especially those varieties that we know are expensive to buy or that we believe are likely to contain pesticide residue. When soil temperatures get a little cooler, we like to start some of the seeds indoors to give them a head start. Check the instructions on the seed packets as some seeds should be planted out later than others. Tomatoes, cucumbers, and melons, for instance, need to be planted later, well after the last frost and after it has warmed up a little. Depending on your climate this could be as late as October, the second month of Spring. The first week of a plants’ life will greatly affect its future health and performance. We like to give my plants the best start that we can. Healthy plants have a higher natural resistance to pests and disease. They produce food that is more nutritious and tastes great.
