Spring up date - japanese maple cuttings
Tips, Tricks
The Japanese maple cuttings in the early spring. You can see the buds growing for this summer. As well you can see the difference winter conditions have on the plants. Plants outside had less bud growth, red bark, and more survived. Cuttings stored in the garage had light yellow coloured bark, vigorous bud growth, but more died.

IF you want to see the technique I used to prepare the cuttings for rooting check out "pruning: pee gee hydrangea (based on fruit tree design)" - pruning: pee gee hydrangea (based on fruit tree design) - at about 8:44 I show you what I do the cuttings. The video "Braiding Hibiscus" - braiding hibiscus shows you one of the potting soil mixtures I make and how i apply it to the root systems at the base of the trees. Hope that helps.

When did you start the cutting ( what season) and what soil did you use? Do you have a video from the beginning of the rooting?
