How often do you mow your lawn? (say at peak season)
-
I know this has nothing to do with your new program. But what type of tree was that in front of your old home?
-
Allyn, so after you see germination... you said you water heavily 2 times per day for 3 more weeks. What do you do after that 3 week period? Do you cut it to 1 time per day or start watering every other day? Thanks!
-
What I want to know is how much bullying you've received from water shamers so far. Looks great though!

Great video as always Allyn! One very important point to note, during Northeast cooler fall season, I wouldn't think one would need so much water to germinate and grow seedlings correct? Since you are in super warm Florida, this is why you do it right?? I planted my new fescue cool season grass and it didn't need anywhere near so many inches of water per day to germinate lush grass in a few weeks. Can you please make this very important distinction for the audience? Thanks bud.

Are you going to put Christmas lights up

Just wanted to say that I love the content. keep it going... Can you do a video on Milorganite vs Jonathan Greens Mag-i-cal. Do they behave the same so both aren't needed. or is should I use both?

When you were smoking the cigar you looked pissed. 😀

Looks like your slimming down brotha. Looking forward to the weed control in the next episode.

LCN, I definitely understand your frustration with the weeds coming in. I ran into the same exact problem doing my lawn rehab this fall. Too many weed seeds already in the existing soil I am guessing. I am curious to see how you will deal with that issue. I also like to enjoy a good craft beer or two while watering, thanks for the video!

Allyn, will you be gettin impact sprinkler heads or keeping the existing ones? Also, it seems you ditched your Jeb! look and adopted a Simon Cowell look

What should the water schedule be after the three week period? Once a day? Do I water each zone for an hour, or the lawn as a whole for 1 hour? Would a predominantly clay soil change the watering pattern of a newly planted lawn? Colorado State Universities Lawn Turf Program web site says for my area (northern CO) it is best to water an established lawn in the evening or early morning, but in short bursts. So let zone 1 run for 5 minutes, zone 2 for 5 minutes and so on until the last zone is done and then repeat the process again starting at zone 1. Each zone should be allowed to ‘rest’ for 1 hour between waterings for a total of 10 to 15 minutes of actual watering per zone. If I understand their docs correctly, its because the soil around here is high in clay which takes longer to absorb the water and the short bursts of water prevents excess run-off and allows the water to saturate the soil better. Thoughts? Thanks a lot...

I like the angry look. That's how I felt when I used a less expensive top soil. Just weeds everywhere in my new growth areas. I had to let it grow out though. I found if I picked them to early....I pulled a lot of new seedlings with it. The milder fall in the northeast is keeping my grass really nice looking. Hope you get to mow yours soon!

Allyn, did you work out at the St Pete airport?
-
Great job Thank you sir.

Allyn, I did a complete renovation on 10-23-15 with TTTF and it germinated on 11-2-15 (Day 10) and now close to 1 month later I have a full stand of grass... but I also have a little bit of Henbit and Wild Onion here and there. Someone told me that if I don't take care of the Henbit, that by Spring it could bloom and drop it's seed and then I would have a mess. So what should I do? Should I wait until very early Spring to spray something on it... or should I go ahead and spray something like Ortho Weed B Gone w/ Crabgrass Preventer on the whole yard or maybe just those problem areas? I just don't want to hurt the young new grass. Thanks!

you better watch the code enforcement on that water and they will give you a ticket if you are watering on the wrong days just to give you heads up
