Some of My Tips For Growing Cucumber Plants - TRG 2014
Tips, Tricks
I grow cucumbers several ways. One of them is in sunken containers with the bottoms cut out. A sort of mini raised bed. I go over my general tips and care of cucumber plants. There are 4 plants in the video that sort of make that dense hedge of cucumbers. New to Gardening? Check out my 2nd Gardening YouTube Channel dedicated to New Gardeners. -
is there another oil to use instead of neem oil, I didn't find it
-
With cucumbers you don't need to pollinate if you get the right plant to start with, I have a female cucumber in and after taking about 4 weeks to root down its now flying up easily growin an extra 2 inches a night and I have loads of flowers all female that don't need pollinating I actually don't want them to be pollinated as it can bitter the veg, I use no pesticides other than slug pellets grown in store brought compost with a bed of manure about 6 inches down 👍

I think the problem with your cucumbers not having enough female flowers is: too much Nitrogen. It does wonders for the foliage but limits the proper formation of female flowers.
-
I wonder if your pre-fruiting spraying with neem oil in a humid environment inhibited the pollination process of that plant? Did you have other plants also sprayed that were just fine?

Thank you for your for sharing!

Maybe there are too many suckers on cucumber plant so you may need to prune off .. Energy can then be put by the plant to cucumber growth and not leaf or stem growth...?
-
my food need emtin salt , neem oil and water, so they can grow big
-
try this: water less(in fact do not water unless the water is drained from the soil),reduce nitrogen(N) fertilizers and add some more potassium(K) and boron. this way i strognly believe you will fix the problem. good luck

FYI it is a complete myth that you cant spray or water plants in direct sun. This is an old wives tale that has scientifically been proven wrong. The droplets evaporate long before they would have any magnifying effect on sun rays.

Bigger pots, less salts and stuff, Gather your organic wastes and make a compost. Let that drip into a flask and watch them cum like butter on a hot pan.

I went to hand pollinate my cucumbers, and the female plants seemed to fall off with a gentle touch, the males had a bunch of ants in the pollen area, so how do I pollinate the flowers and I am using neem oil on the leaves the bottom leaves are yellow and brown I don't know what is wrong with it I spray it everyday?
-
If you're not getting cucumbers on a plant that size, something is wrong...
-
How about taking the male flowers and rubbing it into the tip of the females
