pumps use small amounts of electricity and timers use basically nothing at all. things that do are lights, heaters, air conditioners and dehumidifiers and you need those with soil and hydro. in other words hydro doesn't use that much more electricity.

only cheap soil has bugs .

bro are you that engineered truth guy? I fucking knew it you would quit engineering to grow weed.
-
Wouldnt bother with soil anymore, too many bugs and shit.
coco has amazing results if your into root growth. Starting
in a small pot and upsizing a few times is the key. Not really
traumatic if youre careful.
Ive upsized pots and in less than a week it's almost root bound into
the bigger pot.
Very happy with coco. -
You also got to find and measure the right soil acidity as soils have varied Ph levels.

hydro will get you bigger plants that finish faster.. depends on if you're poor etc. hydro is the shit.. however! If you're poor you can grow some amazing stuff in soil. soil is easier too. hell you could buy a bag of fox farm ocean forest soil and some dyna gro bloom and do a grow start to finish. total cost of soil and nutrients in that case would be like 30 bucks.

good info man. I am currently in soil, but am DEF switching up to coco next time around....hey, do you know if my nutes I use by general organics (mainly the go box items, ie. biothrive-grow/bloom, bio root, etc) will work in coco? I see you said you need a "base nutrient"....is biothrive grow, or bloom, depending on what stage I am in, considered a base nutrient? are you at all familiar with this line?
