I can't kill a healthy looking plant either. Nature will decide which will live -NOT me. Yes, maybe they are husband and wife and like living close together. Ha!

Missy's Mushrooms on Facebook is where I'm at. I live in Tucson AZ and garden organically. I also provide locally grown, organic seedlings, seeds (very soon) and gardening services. I was thinking on making a channel here of my own. A bit shy... but my need for showing people what I do grows daily and soon, I'll have no choice but to do it. Thanks for keeping it real!

I do not like to waste extra plants and when we do buy plants rather than start from seed, we actually try to find as many with extra plants growing in the pots. We recently bought a 6-pack of Giant Marconi peppers that had 10 plants. There is a way to successfully separate the plants, and we did it with 100% transplant success.
Take your plants out of the slots and soak them in water until the soil washes away. You can then easily separate them and plant them into the ground immediatelty after taking them out of the water. My wife actually put them in compost tea that was made with extra mycorrhyzal ingredients. As of this morning, +10 days from the transplanting, all 10 plants are thriving.
We always do this with our sweet potatoes. We buy the Okinawan purple sweet potato slips, and they come about 20 to one 4-inch square pot. This year, all 20 successfully survived after using this method. -
Subbed! I love your videos. You're so energetic, it's motivating :)

feeding rabbits your greens is actually an immediate compost process. What leaves the rabbit is instantly usable in your garden and the best fertilizer you will ever get your hands on.

Regarding the two plants in one cell. You can leave them together. But I have separated tomatoes and peppers along with some flowers and have them thrive. My advice if you do separate plants growing together is first be very careful separating them. When you have planted give them a good shot of fish emulsion with kelp. It really helps them come through the stress. Two weeks after I follow up with up with a side dressing of good organic fertilizer.

Hi there, I have a question about black leg, I recently had a bad experience growing potatoes in containers, they got black leg early on and I am in the process of removing and disposing of all the soil. I would like to reuse the 18 gallon tubs though and was wondering if I should sanitize them first before trying to plant anything else in them? Thanks so much!
