Growing strawberries in a plastic pipe is a really good idea and we've been doing it successfully for years now. They are kept off the ground - away from mice and slugs - and at the same time the moisture is kept in the pipe. Often the strawberries we grow outside just don’t ripen here at all, because of the cold wet summers we’ve been having. So we’ve decided to give up trying to grow them outside altogether these days. But we’ll need more pipe.. Drawing the holes.
One suggestion would be to obtain a piece of cardboard draw the circle onto the cardboard cut it out, then you could just lay the round cardboard onto the pipe and draw around it. This way you would not have to fiddle about with the compass on each hole.

be warned that pvc poisoning is a real thing!

A hole saw will be much more better

hey man - it is me the smartass again 😉. what I did to my PCV pipes, to close the ends - I just used the heat gun to make them soft, and then clamp the end flat. After they cool down, applied a bit of PCV glue, and clamp again to seal. I don't know if it'd work on sever pipe though (probably yes)

We are waiting for a update video on the Sewer pipe strawberries. I would very much like to see what you filled the pipe with and how you plan to drain the pipe. Your video has given me a idea on cutting and using the pipe to work where I live

Looks like lots of fun. I made a strawberry video, and was so proud of it until a baby slug snuck into the harvest sequence. Now I've got a slug battle to deal with in my strawberry bed. Your way looks much better.
