Question- I live in northern BC and during the winter- we don't get a lot of sunlight because it's always cloudy. I planted herbs (from seeds) on a grow mat and they have germinated and doing great. I'd like to put them in my south/west facing kitchen window but I'm concerned about the lack of sunshine. When the sun is out, it's the sunniest place in the house getting all afternoon-evening sun. Will cloudy sunshine be enough?

Please do a video on how to lower soil PH naturally and free or the cheapest way to do it and how to do it safely. I'd appreciate this because I am thinking of using a urine-ash-bonemeal mix for a fert but I don't want to raise my clay soil's PH anymore. I have chickens and they poop a lot so maybe that will help :D.

The bacteria from worm castings can infect a plant and produce chemicals that confuse noxious pests. This may let u use your own compost, but it's not a guarantee and really is only KNOWN to work for those pests that eat seed shoots.

Nicely done video on winter gardening inside the home. I started some lettuce greens too, as an insurance policy when my outdoor gardening slows down in January and February. Each year maybe there will be more of us.

Thank you for your video! It was quite informative. I am celebrating creating my first compost holder (borrowed the idea of using scrap fencing). Hope to fill it soon before the frost/cold gets worse.

Do you think everbearing strawberries would produce in a south facing window (with hand pollination)? In South Louisiana my Albion produce except for the coldest part of winter and hottest part of summer.

I brought my potted Basil plant in from the garden, with hopes that it would stay green for awhile at least. Some of the leaves did turn brown and die, but I can report that the plant, as a whole, is still producing green growth. So it looks like I will have fresh basil throughout the winter.
