Wont rabbits dig under the fence and evade ?

What do they taste like? I know during the World Wars England used to eat a lot of rabbit because they were easy to look after and reproduced fast, but nowadays rabbits are mostly seen/ kept as pets not as a source of food.

Hi, I had a small herd of rabbits several years ago. A full grown rabbit weights about 6 pounds and dresses out at 4 pounds of meat. Some breeds are bigger. With a responsible breeding program, a doe can have about 60 kits a year! My little herd was not-for-profit, a hobby, starting with just one one buck and two does. In 28 days, I had 13 more rabbits! They're fully grown in about 10 weeks. You may be able to sell live rabbits or meat to neighbors. If you only have a few, feed yourself.

How many pounds of meat per rabbit? Cornish Cross chicken yield 8 pounds in a 7 week growing time. I've been watching some videos on raising meat chickens. I'm sure I could slaughter a chicken, but not so sure about a rabbit.
