use a picket fence lay it on a rack so the onions bulbs can sit on top of the fence and the tops can hang and dry with air all around.

I don't know what 30 degrees Celsius is but 2015 here in Miami got to a feel like temp of 105 Fahrenheit several day during the summer

Onions need a fgood bit of watering. Here in Spain we just lay them on the ground to harden once dug up. No wire hanging. The ground does the job. I harvest very big onions by manuring well and adding a bit of wood ash to the soil before planting them.

I can the extra runner beans after blanching them and they last until the next years crop.

I made a lovely soup from adding a little cream and tarragon to loads of whizzed up runner beans, lots of salt and a pinch of salt... a perfect way of using up large glutts of runner beans, very tasty!

chop your beans into inch and a half pieces, part boil/steam them, heat a wok with a little olive oil, until lightly smoking, throw in the beans with 1 chopped clove of garlic for 2 mins, stirring all the time.

What you call fleece we call floating row covers here in the U.S. :) You always have such amazing vegetables.

hi sean great videos, a question for you....can i sow roosters at the end of aug and harvest them for xmas or would i need to sow a different variety ?? im in Ireland by the way and do all my crops in pots

It's called Rose Champion. Can be invasive but the flowers are so beautiful. If they get away from you, just cut the whole stocks back before they go to seed.

Something about watching a man save seed heads from flowers....very endearing.

You could use beans in a risotto, together with some peas, tomatoes, onions, mint, thyme, basil and parmezane.
Or stir fry with some beef, with soy sause, and sesame seeds, together with soome egg noodles... nice.... :) -
I will just have to go to my allotment now, watching this has made me feel guilty about chilling with a cup of coffee.

Rusty's sleepy purr is just the best! Totally jealous of the rhubarb! We can't grow it here in Southern California. :(
My guess on Vivi's onions is 55 pounds.
