After 20day from your married day, your wife will tell you that she pregnant, and ask you which is girl or boy will birth (the gender you choose will be determine you child gender). After few week, she will birth a child and took 1 year to grow him/her. Note: You can have 3 child in Rune Factory 3, and they not helping your farm, combat or social and just stuck in your house.

Oh hello! Have you heard about - Hicklers Choose Gender (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now)? Ive heard some amazing things about it and my brother in law got great results with it.

You already have a large bed from beginning of this game. I think Rune Factory series doesn't require 'big/large bed' for marrying purpose like Harvest Moon series, since I didn't see any requirement of this on Rune Factory 2 and Rune Factory 3. Although I didn't play the rest of Rune Factory series.
