This is how to root woody ,and hard to root trees and vines. Its fun! You just need to be patient. I have personally taken cutting with this method from many citrus trees.

I don't get this air layering . 3 to six months for air layering and a matter of weeks . 3 to 8 weeks to get rooting by snipping the branch offices and planting the branch.

can I do this at the end of summer? since you said it will take 6-9weeks for it to root. i am hoping to do it now, sept 5th. or should i wait til the spring?

Rooting while the limb is still attached is an awesome idea and new to me. I will try this on the FIRE BUSH.

Thanks for the very clear informative video. I live in New Jersey and I have a champaca plant and I want to try propagating it. When is the best time to do it? Right now my tree has a lot of flowers and is about 3 feet tall. Shall I do it in autumn or spring? Thanks.
