I love peas and also they're nitrogen fixers!

should build a green house... gotta consider Winter

Any news on the garden?
-
dont use pine needles. the acid in them kills other plants
-
How has your garden worked out? Hope you do a follow-up.
-
do an underground garden, can grow food during all seasons due to the sun light creating heat going through the clear top of it
-
It will grow unless the seeds are to old. This year I'm happy because I have my raised bed fenced and everything is growing great I loved your rain dance lol I had to laugh. It was really funny.. Loved and Subbed.

With really small seeds you can use old news paper and cornstarch paste to space them and plant them news paper and all. Makes it super easy and super organized.

My mom does it with carrots and it works a treat. -
Just a side note - I don't recommend using pine needles directly in your garden. Pine needles are typically acidic and most veggies do not like acidic soil. You can use some in your compost pile but use very sparingly. I would recommend using the pine needles in areas that you don't want things to grow or use them around other pine trees and/or roses as they like acidic soil and will thrive with the extra needles.

Cold frames with storm windows is a good option cause it acts like a greenhouse in the spring so your plants won't get cold and you can lift the window on hot days plus have a fall garden that goes into November. Use potting soil so you don't have to weed. You really need a DIY green house next year to give you that extra month growing time. Heat speeds germination rate so much.

Almost 6 weeks later. How about a follow up ?

It will be interesting to see how that garden pans out. Soil doesn't look good, as I couldn't tell if you had enough top soil down to be big enough for the whole root system of those plants.

Did it Rain?

I love gardening and could probably be more or less self sufficient on foods if I made a serious effort. But I also realized that it's not food purchases that drain our budget. It's taxes. Taxes on heat, electricity, water and land.
Without the insane levels of taxation We'd save serious cash every month and get a lot closer to financial independence. -
Nice Garden!

Hmmmm. Maybe my gardens never grew because I never learned the proper dance steps. Oh, well .....

I noticed a lot of comments saying "too early to plant". So what. Look at the way nature does it. it drops the seed the previous fall, the seed has to survive the entire winter and then will come up when it is ready. So if you plant seeds a little early it is no big deal. They will figure it out.
