As part of his gardening journal, garden author Doug Green http://www.youtube.com/user/headgardener2u/ shows where to cut the stem off a daffodil that's finished blooming. Cut the flower stem right at the base but do not cut the leaves off - they need to stay on the plant to grow from year to year.
