My roses are at least 12-15 years old. And are Hybrid Tea. And over the years they have developed very long thick canes, almost like a small trunk .almost 2 inches in circumference. I guess my question to you is, How much of these older canes can I cut out to bring the bushes back to a decent more manageable size with out killing the poor things?
