Can't tell you how much you've inspired me Mike - sorry to see you're not around of late, but my wife's getting sick of me re-running most of your videos. Been recently searching out my calling in life (we bought a derelict cottage in Ireland about six years ago)
It's been a husband and wife show for that time; fencing, digging, making loads of mistakes in the process. This whole journey began because of growing and only now, we're getting into it.
Since I subbed to your channel, we've grown nearly 600 trees from seed and have another 600 or so plants coming from cuttings.
Thanks Mike, I hope this finds you well. -
So this is what Dick Cheynee is doing in his retirement.

This is a good video. I made some arborvitae cuttings and put them in translucent tote boxes about 2 months ago. I used rooting powder but only about two of them that I have checked have roots. All of the cuttings are still green. If I am patient enough, will the rest of them root?

Mike I recently planted cedar tree fence wrapping around two sides of my triangular house (125 trees). I don't know much about this evergreen plant. Right now my fear is if any of those planted, may eventually die. How can I protect them and how would I know if I am under or over watering them? Also what signs to look for? Can you help? I live in BC Canada where it rains 9 months, but since I planted them 2 weeks ago, it has rained only one day, the weather pattern is gradually changing here due to global warming. Is there an email I can reach you at? thanks in advance for your reply.
