Planting Hardy Fall Bulbs - Wisconsin Garden Video Blog 735
Tips, Tricks
See More Garden Goodies: http://www.WisconsinGarden.com - - - On this beautiful October fall day it’s the perfect time for planting hardy fall bulbs. We’ve uncovered hundreds of bulbs during the summer as we added new plants to our flower gardens. These are the bulbs for spring blooms that need to be planted before the snow flies. Today we’ll find new places to plant the tulips, daffodils, hyacinth, crocus, and anemones bulbs that have been displaced from their original beds. As a rule of thumb, we plant each bulb three times the depth of the size of their bulbs with the exception of iris tubers which need to be planted partly exposed to the ground surface. I think, I should reconsider about planting tulips now! Haha, I hesitated to every year because it doesn't bloom long..🌷but, it's very pretty😁thanks for sharing...

Planting bulbs in above ground planters will not survive Zone 5 winters like we both have.....might want to rethink that idea!..Also if those aren't DARWIN Tulips (perennial tulips) they won't bloom again...most tulip only bloom ONE year...that is why i only purchase the darwin variety...Should always use bonemeal or bulb food when planting....Been rainy and miserably cold here for weeks....hoping to get the 150 tulip bulbs planted soon or else i've wasted a lot of $$$
