I bought some dehydrated berries at a health food store. I planted them in some good soil in a plant pot, put them in a south facing window and they grew about a foot high I set them out this spring hoping they would winter over. we will see in the spring.

Please don't plant these horribly invasive plants.

Hello, nice plants, what was your mixture for your soil? amounts per dirt you used, and i live in Washington, can i order these plants in this state? Thank you for your video, by the way your garden is very nice looking. Sincerely Rick.

so how are the goji plants doing?

Actually, it can be beaten, I got mine at Wal-Mart for $3.75 not to mention I have about a hundred seedlings planted from seeds. They grow fast, fast, from seeds. It is the preferred way to prorogate them. They will fruit when they have reached about 18 inches meaning about a year/two old. They are great dried or fresh. They are draught/cold tolerate. All plants needs sunlight, they will grow with both sun and shade.
Depending on your state they can be considered as invasive/weeds. I don't know why someone would consider such a great fruit to be invasive. But, that how is goes sometime. -
I planted a whole goji berry from the bulk food store. About thirty seedlings came up. They grow fast and survive rough treatment. They are supposed to be sensitive to heat not cold. I am in zone 7 which is said to be the warmest in which they survive. To the lady in South Africa. From what I read, it's too hot there. But for the price of a single berry, you could try.

Per shade, Goji berries PREFER full sun but can TOLERATE part shade. They do not NEED part shade.

they cost about 14£ in the uk,.

Hello. I live in South Africa. I would like to grow Goji.. I want to know your opinion. How I start. From the first step. I have a big land. That's it.

Yes indeed! I have gotten about 3 feet of growth from them this year and one flowered.

Hi. I recently bought a goji berry plant from home depot and have been watching videos about planting them so I just found this video. I noticed you used peat moss...I've read that goji berries don't do well in acidic soils and that peat moss should be avoided. There's conflicting information out there, but they need at least 7ish ph; many sources suggest ph around 8. Have your plants done well?

The soil I used is called by Schultz Garden Soil. I am very happy with so far.

I see Veritgro soil.. I was curious how well that soil does!
